THE STORY GARUDEYA PLAY FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ADAPTED FROM ADIPARVA

 Once upon a time in a land there were a noble name Kasyapa. He had fourteen wives but two of them, Kadru and Winata could not have offspring. Kadru and Winata begged to Kasyapa.

Kadru           : O my husband, please give me a thousand of children.

Winata         : Yes, please give me two children.

Kasyapa        : Sure my wives, here you are.

Kasyapa grant his wives wish, he gave Kadru a thousand of eggs and gave Winata two eggs.

Kadru           : My eggs have hatched into dragons.

Taksaka, Antaboga, Basuki         : I am Taksaka, I am Antaboga, I am Basuki.

Winata         : Why my eggs have not hatched yet?

(Winata broke one of her eggs)

Aruna           : Oh my god, I have no leg!

Winata         : I am sorry, dear.

Aruna           : I am angry with you, I condemned you into slave one day!

In other hand, Kadru overwhelmed with a thousand of dragons. With her cunning she made a game, guessing of the Ucchaisrawa’s colour. A horse that would come out from Mantana lake.

Kadru           : Let’s guess the colour of Ucchaisrawa.

Winata         : I guess the colour is pure white.

Kadru           : Ok, I guess, it will be white but with black tail.

Actually, Ucchaisrawa was pure white, but Kadru ordered her son of dragon sprout his poison in its tail, so the tail of the horse turn into black. Kadru won the wager and made Winata into her slave.

Day after day, Winata’s other egg hatched into Garudeya. A brave, wise and intelligent garuda. He searched for his mother.

 

Garudeya      : Hello my cousin dragon.

Antaboga     : Hello, Garudeya.

Garudeya      : Tell me, a condition to set my mother free.

Taksaka       : Please searched for amreta water.

Garudeya      : Sure I will.

Garudeya flew to Kahyangan Suralaya and begged of the Amreta water, Bathara Guru gave him the water. When Garudeya flew down, Bathara Wisnu faced him.

God Wisnu   : Give it to me!

Garudeya      : No, I won’t.

God Wisnu and Garudeya fighted.

Garudeya      : Please let me bring the Amreta water.

God Wisnu   : No one permit to have it.

Garudeya      : I need it for set my mother free.

Garudeya promised to be God Wisnu’s Vehicle if he allowed the amreta water for him.

Garudeya      : Here you are my cousin dragons.

Basuki          : Well done Garudeya.

Antaboga     : Here is your mother.

Garudeya      : Thank you for set my mother free

Winata         : Thank you my dear son, Garudeya

Winata was free from slavery.

Before the dragons drank the amreta water, god Wisnu take the amreta water from them.
